Summer with kids in London

With the summer holidays in full swing, many of us either decide to stay at home or travel around the UK for our holidays. So why not try out this fun and exciting things this year to keep yourself and your little ones entertained till the new term!

1: London Beaches

These pop up beaches are fabulous, especially if you cannot make it to our British beaches or are just looking for lots of sand to play with. This is definite treat with the great sunny weather. So from Brent Cross, South bank and Westfield Stratford take your pick and go relax with a spot of shopping attached, win win for everyone.

2: Zoo

Spending a day at the Zoo will transform your little ones to Africa or beyond. Our family favourite is Colchester Zoo. Having been there a few times, we realised that its great for all ages and the interactive African section is fantastic. Also leave enough time to give your little ones a run around in the Jungle Tumble soft play complex next to the entrance.

3: Shrek Fans

London is hosting a Shrek-tastic event this summer, where you can go and interact with all the characters and explore the sets of your favourite film. Can you beat the mirror maze and make it back home in one piece? then give it a go today. Check out the site for tickets.

4: Meet the Gruffalo

The Gruffalo Trail is here and its celebrating 15 years! Have a look on the site to see which trail is your local and definitely give it a go. Let your kids lead the way and let the adventures begin through the deep dark wood. This one is on our summer list – can’t wait.

5: Kidzania

This city will keep your kids entertained for the day and may even make them realise what they want to be when they grow up; that’s not bad for a day out. Located in Westfield London this amazing Kidzania adventure is a re-creation of the adult world but child size where they learn and earn with monies that they can use to actually earn and buy products from the department store at the end. Great for kids aged 4-14.

What ever you decide to do this summer, make it fun and memorable and maybe send in your pictures to share the experience.
